This comfortable ground floor apartment has level access from the front door of Lantern House and one step to the pavement beyond. Lanyard used to house the Post Master General’s office when this was Padstow Telephone Exchange. The grand wood paneling which used to line the office, was removed during conversion, leaving a bright, airy apartment.
On entering Lanyard there is immediate access to the open plan kitchen/dining room which consists of full self catering kitchen with four ring electric cooker, oven and grill. One and a half stainless steel sink with washbowl. Fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster and cafetiere. All the cutlery, crockery and glassware you will need plus kitchenware for self-catering. We provide clothes pegs to use on our rotary drier in the garden. Electric iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner.
The dining area has a drop leaf, round dining table with two chairs and cushions. The well-stocked book case has a good supply of reading materials next to a full length mirror. Electric heater. Non-slip cushioned flooring. Double-glazing.
The bed/sitting room leads from the dining area, through a glazed door and consists of king size bed with bedside tables and lamps. Large wardrobe with storage drawers beneath, sideboard with 19inch flat screen Freeview television, built in DVD and CD player and two new leather armchairs, which swivel and recline. Coffee table and footrest are also provided. There is a supply of games and DVD films. Electric heater. Newly carpeted throughout. Double-glazing. Mirror and hair drier.
Leading from the bedroom area is the spacious en suite shower room consisting of large front entrance shower cubicle with electric shower, wash hand basin with mirror, light and shaver point over. Toilet with sani flow flushing system and heated towel rail. Non-slip cushioned flooring.
Level access leads to the rear door of Lantern House. Crossing the courtyard steps lead to our lovely walled garden.
